January 2020 SABAA collected winter clothes from the community members and donated to homeless and refugees living in the Sacramento area.
SABAA and Humanity Beyond Barriers (HBB) collaboratively started the “COVID-19 Hardship Relief” project to help poor people in Tangail, Bogura, and Rajshahi areas of Bangladesh. We raised a total of $4,180 (৳ 3,60,000 taka) for this project to provide essential foods and medicines for one week. We delivered and distributed these essentials to a total of 730 needy families!
December 11, 2020 Bijoy Dibosh brought local, domestic, and international professional artists and performers on the zoom platform. They were from Texas, Georgia, and Bangladesh along with local community guests and audiences to bring the excitement into this virtual event. Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated as the fire advances, covered over 218,000 acres, and affected more than 50,000 people per Cal Fire reporting. We are proud of our community members for their quick responses and generous donations to assist the El Dorado County fire victims. We are delighted to report that with your sincere collaborations and generous contributions, SABAA raised a total amount of $2,193 for this project while HBB raised a total of $3,325. SABAA and HBB officials met with a few community coordinators of the El Dorado Community Foundation on October 1, 2021, and donated the collected fundings for the Caldor fire victims.
We express our sincere gratitude to everyone for making this project very successful.
Millions of underprivileged people in rural areas of Bangladesh became the victim of devastating flood which impacted their health, economy, and daily livelihood. To help flood victims of many parts of Bangladesh such as Kurigram, Sirajgonj, Ponchoor, Dinajpur, Gaibandha, Chandpur, and other locations; SABAA delivered and distributed dry food, drinking water, and cash for more than 400 needy families in July.
